JWF Industries participated in the October 2020 Showcase for Commerce Press Event to highlight recent contracts awarded in the Cambria County region. Contracts total $54.2 million and 163 job sustained in Johnstown, PA.
In addition to the defense contracts listed below, the $54.2 million total includes $10 million in commercial contracts for the construction and airline industries. The cascading effect in the region is $8 million of business to local subcontractors and suppliers.
JWF Defense Awarded Contracts from BAE Systems for Ground Combat Vehicle Components
JWF Defense Systems, LLC has received a total of $23 million dollars in contracts from BAE Systems, Inc. to manufacture components for the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) and various structural and mechanical parts in support of the Assault Amphibious Vehicle (AAV), Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV), Bradley Fighting Vehicle, M88 HERCULES Recovery Vehicles, and Paladin PIM vehicle programs. $17.1 million is to support the AMPV, a program to replace the M113 armored personnel carrier and family of vehicles for the U.S. Army, and $4.9 million in support of the other ground combat vehicle programs. JWF is proud to have been working with BAE Systems on ground combat vehicle programs for over 15 years.

JWF Defense Awarded Another Contract from General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems to Continue to Build Military Vehicles
JWF Defense Systems, LLC has received a follow-on contract for additional vehicle chassis and body panels for production year six (PY6) to support General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) of St. Petersburg, FL on a military vehicle program, the Ground Mobility Vehicle (GMV) 1.1, for the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (SOCOM). Total contract value is $9 million.

JWF Industries Awarded Another Contract from ILC Dover for Flood Mitigation Projects
JWF Industries, LLC has received a follow-on contract forecasted commitment for additional Flood Mitigation units in and around the New York City Area. These units are vertical and horizontal in nature to protect the NYC subway system, LaGuardia Airport, Coney Island area and parts of the NYC tunnel system. Total forecasted value is $6 million.

JWF Defense Awarded Another Contract from Kongsberg Defense and Aerospace
JWF Defense Systems, LLC has received over $6 million in new contract awards from Kongsberg Defense and Aerospace for Low Profile Remote Weapon Station hardware and mechanical parts, and for the Technical Refresh Upgrade components for various CROWS weapons systems platforms. JWF and Kongsberg have a long standing partnership launched in 2007. JWF is pleased to support Kongsberg on their Remote Weapon Station Platforms for the past 13 years.
“This is a continuation of our long-standing partnership with Kongsberg and a testament to Johnstown companies working together to improve our military and support our war fighters,” said John Polacek, Chief Operating Officer.
JWF Defense Awarded Contract from SaaB Defense
JWF Defense Systems, LLC has received contracts from SaaB Defense and Security USA for $200,000, from the period of Q4 2019 to Q4 2020, to produce components for the G/ATOR ground based radar system, and fabricated parts for naval electrical equipment.
“This is a new customer, and helps us to expand our defense aperture,” said John Polacek, Chief Operating Officer.
