Job Description

PLEASE NOTE: This is a WEEKEND shift position. Applicants must be able to work steady weekends, 5a-5p (Fri/Sat/Sun, 12-hour shifts).

Prepares parts and assemblies by shot blasting to stage for finished product; meets defined production standards, schedules, and quality requirements. Properly operates blast equipment to achieve customer requirements and follow proper procedures.

Essential Duties

Work with blast system and various tools for the completion of product to quality standards.
-Stage parts and welded assemblies for blasting processes
-Prepare and setup of necessary tools and equipment for blasting
-Inspect blast units for proper profile requirements, hoses, and nozzles
-Review of finished assemblies, parts, and product to quality requirements
-Report production issues and assist in resolutions as required
-Monitor dust collector and empty daily if needed
-Maintain safety requirements
-Perform other duties as requested

Education Level

Experience

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Work requires a high level of attention to detail, and the motivation to learn other areas of the department.

This position will be responsible for all office procedures, First Article Inspection (FAI) forms, spreadsheets, scanning & saving all department documentation, and completing weekly and daily department reports.

-Complete weekly and daily department reports through the use of several different databases and distribute company wide.
-Maintain department documentation/spreadsheets through ballooning drawings and transferring the corresponding dimensions and tolerances to the spreadsheet, revising as necessary.

JWF Industries, a diversified, metal-centric manufacturer, is seeking Vehicle Assembly Technicians to join their growing team in Johnstown, PA.

$20/hour, actual starting rates will be based on the experience and certifications of each individual hire.

Successful candidates will be responsible for verifying all line items have been completed on the work orders; verifying conformance to specifications; and testing the action of moving parts prior to final inspection. They will also validate the function and safety of vehicles as documented in build procedures, work instructions, prints, and as provided through verbal instructions.

Essential Duties

  • Follow digital work instructions to incrementally assemble a vehicle
  • Test components and systems to ensure functionality
  • Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined
  • Perform basic fluid fills, including DOT brake fluid, coolant/antifreeze and wiper fluid
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components
  • Perform repairs to manufacturer specifications
