JWF Industries presented a check for $2,000 to the Windber Area Community Kitchen (WACK) to assist in the purchase of food items for distribution to local residents. The program is located at Calvary United Methodist Church at 1800 Stockholm Avenue in Windber. JWF Industries also donated turkeys to WACK for distribution to several families for Thanksgiving.

JWF Industries announced it received a BAE Systems Partner2Win Supplier of the Year Award for Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) Platforms based on exceptional performance and contributions to supply chain success in 2020 for BAE Systems’ Combat Mission Systems business. JWF Industries was honored at a virtual online ceremony and was selected from a group of more than 1,500 suppliers that worked with BAE Systems in 2020.

JWF Industries President and Chief Executive Officer, William C. Polacek, has been named a Pittsburgh Smart 50 Award Honoree for 2020, presented by Smart Business Magazine. He also received this award in 2015.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Secretary of Labor Eugene Scalia traveled to Johnstown, Pennsylvania, where he joined Congressman John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13) and Congressman Glenn “G.T.” Thompson (PA-15) to highlight workforce development through apprenticeships. Secretary Scalia and the congressmen toured JWF Industries and met with company leadership and apprentices.

Contracts total $54.2 million and 163 job sustained in Johnstown, PA.
In addition to the defense contracts listed below, the $54.2 million total includes $10 million in commercial contracts for the construction and airline industries. The cascading effect in the region is $8 million of business to local subcontractors and suppliers.

JWF Industries took an extra step to recognize the efforts of its essential workers earlier this month. Each employee was given a customized bronze coin during the company’s quarterly meeting in appreciation for their continued work ethic during the COVID-19 pandemic.

JWF Industries is pleased to welcome ten college interns to its team for the summer. The students will work for JWF Industries at the company’s Iron Street and Cramer Pike locations through August 2020.
