JWF Industries is committed to providing education and training opportunities for our employees and trade skill students looking to expand their experience. The program can change at any time at the discretion of JWF. All changes will be communicated.
JWF Industries employees can progress through the Machining Apprentice Program. The employee starts with Setup, then advances to Machinist, Skilled Machine Operator, and finally Machine Operator.
Setup
- Complete Setup online book work
- Complete 280 hours and pass part tests for all of the following:
- Vertical Machining Center
- Horizontal Machining Center
- CNC Turning Center
- 5-Axis Machining Center
- Double Column Machine
Machinist
- Complete Machinist online book work
- Complete 360 machinist level hours for each of the following:
- Vertical Machining Center
- Horizontal Machining Center
- CNC Turning Center
- 5-Axis Machining Center
- Double Column Machine
Skilled Machine Operator
- Complete Skilled Machine Operator online book work
- Complete 666 skilled machine operator level hours for each of the following:
- Vertical Machining Center
- Horizontal Machining Center
- CNC Turning Center
Machine Operator
- Complete Machine Operator online book work
- Complete 934 hours machine operator level hours for each of the following:
- Vertical Machining Center
- Horizontal Machining Center
- CNC Turning Center
- In addition to wages and benefits, JWF pays for post secondary training materials and all applicable progression testing while working as an apprentice.
- Pay increments and incentives will be based on successful completion of program requirements.
- Involvement in program may not interfere with work responsibilities.
- Participation in the program is not a contract for continued employment.
