Press release written and distributed by PCT

Para-Coat Technologies, Inc. (Johnstown, Pa) a specialty, engineered coatings provider, who works with the Military, Medical, Aerospace, and Automotive Industries has acquired the assets of the R.D. Dragomir Company in Santa Ana,
California. Para-Coat Technologies began working with Richard and Melinda Dragomir at the onset of the company back in 2010.

The R. D. Dragomir Co. was established in 1996 to build custom systems for the parylene Industry. It was established when the R. D. Mathis Company allowed Mr. Dragomir to take over the custom equipment and they would continue on with their main business in refractory metals. The R. D. Mathis Co. started building Parylene equipment in the mid 70’s. Richard Dragomir was in charge of the equipment division which designed and built Parylene Systems exclusively for Union Carbide, the original parylene provider. “PCT has been very pleased with the machinery Richard builds and with his original blueprints and our added expertise, this will allow us to improve and adapt the machinery while increasing output and shortening run times states Michael Rager, Owner and COO of PCT. “We are thrilled to have been able to work with the Dragomirs all these years and to purchase these assets will allow for continued growth for Para-Coat Technologies”.

PCT has begun working with JWF Industries, which is located 0.3 miles from the others facility and is an international manufacturer of customer designed products. “JWF Industries is pleased to be the manufacturer of choice for the PCT brand coatings machine and looks forward to enhancing its capability while keeping it at an affordable market price. This is another great example of how Johnstown businesses collaborate to increase customer base and employment opportunities for the future!” states JWF CEO William Polacek. By working with such a top-notch manufacturer, we will be able to provide the industry with a more competitively priced parylene machines at a faster pace while bringing the manufacturing closer to home.

“We needed a team of skilled individuals and found just that at JWF. We are very excited to be bringing this from the West coast to the East coast and adding to our current capabilities at PCT”, states PCT CEO Krista Rager. “The engineers at JWF are excellent and we are very excited to work with another local company.”
