JWF Industries President and Chief Executive Officer, William C. Polacek, has been named a Pittsburgh Smart 50 Award Honoree for 2020, presented by Smart Business Magazine. He also received this award in 2015.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Secretary of Labor Eugene Scalia traveled to Johnstown, Pennsylvania, where he joined Congressman John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13) and Congressman Glenn “G.T.” Thompson (PA-15) to highlight workforce development through apprenticeships. Secretary Scalia and the congressmen toured JWF Industries and met with company leadership and apprentices.

JWF Industries participated in the October 2020 Showcase for Commerce Press Event to highlight recent contracts awarded in the Cambria County region. Contracts total $54.2 million and 163 job sustained in Johnstown, PA.

In addition to the defense contracts listed below, the $54.2 million total includes $10 million in commercial contracts for the construction and airline industries. The cascading effect in the region is $8 million of business to local subcontractors and suppliers.

JWF Industries is pleased to welcome ten college interns to its team for the summer. The students will work for JWF Industries at the company’s Iron Street and Cramer Pike locations through August 2020.

JWF Industries has reopened a factory in West Virginia to ensure continued production at the location. Located in Davisville, West Virginia, the facility was previously operated by Sunshine Metals, headquartered in Baker, Louisiana.

Vision Together 2025, a framework for revitalizing Greater Johnstown based upon an open, collaborative and community driven approach, has chosen new leaders to continue to move the organization and the Johnstown community forward over the next two years.

William Polacek, Chief Executive Officer of JWF Industries and JWF Defense, has been appointed Chairman of the Vision Together 2025 Board and Ethan Imhoff, Executive Director of the Cambria County Planning Commission, was named Chairman of the Vision Together 2025 Executive Committee, both for two-year terms.

Polacek Appointment to JARI Board

JWF Industries is proud to serve its customers and the local community. JWF Industries recently earned the recognition as a Top 100 Organization, and its CEO recognized as a Top 100 Leader. Continuing to support the community, the company’s CEO was also recently appointed to the JARI board of directors.

Environmental Tank & Container (ETC) – Texas, formerly PCI Manufacturing Solutions, LLC, has earned its certification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for quality. This is the first time the company has earned the certification, and is valid through 2021.
